Born from a project supporting survivors of gendered violence, Women's Circus has spent 35 years building something rare, a community where women and people of marginalised genders find strength, connection, and joy through social circus. A place where people who face the greatest barriers can feel safe, be seen, and discover what they're capable of.
Help us raise $35,000 for 35 Years of Women's Circus!
This End of Financial Year, we’re raising $35,000 to support our creative programs and opportunities for our members, trainers and staff to participate in artistically bold and transformational creative projects.
Our community needs you now.
Thanks to The Phil Taylor Foundation, every donation will be matched dollar-for-dollar — doubling your impact.
This November, Women’s Circus will celebrate its 35th anniversary with a large-scale community performance bringing together members across generations to share the stage. This bold, ambitious work is at the heart of who we are: people telling their own stories, on their own terms.
But work like this doesn’t happen without support.
Your tax-deductible donation will help bring this major production to life while creating life-changing opportunities for members to perform, build confidence, develop new skills, find community and connection. It will support our team of skilled trainers, maintain the safe and welcoming spaces our community depends on, and reach people who would otherwise be excluded from creative participation.
The impact of your support
In 2025, we supported 1,445 enrolments across 159 programs. We welcomed 123 new members and 309 first-timers through our doors. We provided $23,224 in subsidies to reduce barriers to participation. Our end-of-year cabaret No Regrets sold out every performance, and our Midsumma production Small Acts of Resistance reached 660 audience members with a four-star reviewed show featuring performers aged 50 to 75.
None of this is possible without donors like you. Donate today.
There are multiple ways you can show your support. On Sunday 28 June, we're running a Handstand-a-Thon to raise funds for the campaign. Stay tuned for more information on how to create your own crowdraiser and get involved.
Our circus is strong — and with your support, it will continue to thrive for generations to come.
From our whole community — thank you.

Women’s Circus acknowledges the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung and Bunurong peoples of the Kulin Nation as the traditional owners of the land on which we meet, train and create and recognise their continuing connection to land, waters, communities and culture. We pay our respect to Elders past and present and through them to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Sovereignty was never ceded. Always was, always will be Aboriginal land.
