About this cause

The Magic of Christmas
For many of us, Christmas means full plates, laughter, music and new clothes pulled from wrapping paper.

For the children in our programs, Christmas is a little different.

But once a year, we create something special.

Each Christmas, IAS brings children together across our projects to experience what Christmas should feel like: joyful, safe, generous and full of hope.

We call it The Magic of Christmas.

What Christmas looks like in our projects
The Magic of Christmas is a festive celebration held across our children’s villages and partner communities.

On the day, every child receives:

  • a proper, festive meal - the kind they don’t often get
  • a fizzy drink (a huge treat and always a favourite)
  • music, dancing and time with friends
  • a brand new item of clothing to take home

There’s laughter. There’s dancing. There’s excitement. And for many of these children, it’s the only Christmas celebration they will experience all year.

It’s not about presents under a tree.
It’s about dignity, joy and belonging.

Why this matters
Many of the children in our programs have experienced loss, instability and hardship far beyond their years.

Christmas can be a painful reminder of what they don’t have.

This celebration changes that.

For one day, they get to simply be children. Laughing, eating well, dancing, and feeling remembered.

That feeling stays with them long after the music stops.

How your donation helps
Your gift directly funds Christmas celebrations across IAS projects.

Your donation helps provide:

food for shared festive meals
drinks and treats for every child
music, activities and community celebrations
a new item of clothing for each child
Together, we are aiming to raise $3,000 to bring The Magic of Christmas to hundreds of children this year.

Give the gift of Christmas magic
You may never meet the children whose lives you touch.

But because of you, they will laugh.
They will dance.
They will eat well.
They will feel special.

And they will remember that someone, somewhere, cared enough to make Christmas magical.

Thank you for being part of The Magic of Christmas.
