SALT 1st XV is a group of 15 South Australian based rugby mates who share a deep passion for the sport. Despite being well past our playing prime, we cherish the camaraderie that comes with rugby. Our group is diverse, with members hailing from South Australia, Queensland, New South Wales, England, Scotland, Ireland, Wales, and Zimbabwe. We have purchased a bus to follow the British and Irish Lions as they take on the Wallabies in 2025.
Our journey will span 17 days, covering a planned route of 300km per day from Adelaide to Melbourne, and then to Sydney. To manage tour misdemeanours Kangaroo Court sessions will be held regularly with all fines being donated to Hearts in Rugby Union Limited.
The difference they have made to so many people is just extraordinary and we know there are so many others that would benefit from their work. But they need more funding to make that happen.
