***An important update to my fundraiser***

When I started this fundraiser, my goal was to use my upcoming trip to Nepal as an opportunity to give something back – raising funds for REACH for Nepal and supporting the communities they work alongside.

Since then, Nepal has experienced devastating floods, with lives lost and communities now facing the enormous task of recovery.

In response, I’m pivoting my fundraiser so that the money we raise will now support REACH for Nepal’s emergency appeal and their work responding to the disaster.

Nothing changes about who we are supporting – every donation will still go directly to REACH for Nepal. What has changed is where that support is needed most urgently.

Last year I fell in love with the Himalayas.

Just two weeks after returning from Bhutan, I booked another trip—this time to Nepal to explore the incredible Annapurna Ranges. As I planned my journey, I also learned more about the challenges many Nepalese communities face.

Despite its breathtaking beauty, Nepal remains the poorest country in South Asia. Around one in five people live in poverty, with many families facing limited access to healthcare, education and nutritious food.

After researching a number of organisations, I found Reach for Nepal—a grassroots, ACNC-registered Australian charity with transparent reporting and a proven record of supporting children and communities in Nepal's Gandaki Province.

I'll be travelling through the region and am in contact with the local team. I hope to deliver much-needed supplies while I'm there and see firsthand the incredible work they do.
